The Asia Pacific Travel Health Society (APTHS) is a regional network of travel medicine practitioners that promotes and protects the health of travelers by advancing travel medicine and related disciplines in the Asia Pacific region. The main activities of the APTHS are through its website, ad-hoc travel medicine courses/meetings in the region, and its biennial conferences.
The society was formed in 2000, during the Bali APTHC3, in response to the growing regional interest in travel medicine and to act as a focal point to channel regional initiatives and energies. This newly developing entity of travel medicine in Asia has already seen successful meetings focusing on travelers health. The society is hard at work to ensure that APTHC 2012 Singapore will be another such successful event. |
